"On Principle: A Statewide Conversation," regional discussions of the five principles of American democracy considered in the 2004-2005 radio series: individual freedoms, equality, economic opportunity, civic engagement, and justice.

We propose using 2005 WTP funds to implement “On Principle: A Statewide Conversation” as a follow up program to our 2004/2005 WTP project, a radio series in which Oregonians consider 5 principles of American democracy: individual freedoms, equality, economic opportunity, civic engagement, and justice. On Principle: A Statewide Conversation will consist of a series of public programs in communities in Oregon that bring people from different sectors & backgrounds together to engage with each other to learn about and discuss these 5 principles that are considered the core of our democracy.
