Programs at the Virginia Festival of the Book, radio programs focusing on how citizens explore heritage, a research fellowship in American history and culture and grant projects focusing on Virginia's traditions and communities.

VFH will use funds for "We the People in Virginia" for its Grants, Center for the Book, Media, and Research programs. VFH will award grants for projects focusing on Virginia’s traditions and the cultures and communities in which they have developed; produce programs at the Virginia Festival of the Book and in libraries; produce radio features focusing on how citizens explore heritage and meaning in their daily lives; and fund a fellowship for a scholar whose work explores themes central to "We the People in Virginia."
