In conjunction with “New Harmonies,” a Smithsonian traveling exhibit on American roots music, the MHC will provide an intensive one-week seminar on MS music for teachers of MS history and culture and provide print and electronic materials on that topic for classroom and public use. Teachers will study with scholars and musicians, tour sites, and hear performances. Additionally, WTP funds will be used for partial support of a staff person to coordinate the institute and other WTP projects.
