To support the Oklahoma Centennial Film Festival featuring eight films about Oklahoma that explore what is means to be an Oklahoman; a public lecture by a noted humanities scholar; and a grant initiative for projects related to American history and culture and Oklahoma's centennial of statehood in 2007.

To continue its advancement of the WTP initiative, the Oklahoma Humanities Council (OHC) will present a public lecture featuring a leading humanities scholar, will present a film festival that explores Oklahoma’s image, and place a statewide request for proposals that focus on themes and events in American history as well as interpret the centennial of Oklahoma statehood.
