The initiative "Liberty and Justice for All" which includes a re-grant program for public humanities projects and a symposium on the role of the media in American democracy.

In FY 2007 MFH will continue to focus its grant making and programming on its “Liberty and Justice for All” initiative. We will (1) offer $10K (twice the limit for regular grants) for public humanities projects on the LJA theme and (2) focus our annual symposium on the role of the media in our democracy to give the public an opportunity to explore an area in which concepts of liberty and justice are at play, and at stake, every day.
