the exploration of cultural, social, economic and political issues; a focus on a major immigrant group and contemporary life as seen through the eyes of young adults; reading and discussing three American literary classics; and preserving and disseminating primary historical resources important to the study of the history of the Northern Mariana Islands.

The program includes public discussions on contemporary community issues; an exhibit and booklet that explore contributions made by Filipinos in the CNMI; a book discussion series focusing on three American literary classics; a media project that will allow young adults to document contemporary life in the CNMI; and a preservation and access project to produce digital copies of historical documents and photographs that chronicle local history.
