To support the 2008 Oklahoma Conversation in the Humanities, an annual lecture by a distinguished speaker in the humanities; grants for projects in American history and culture; and activities for Picturing America in Oklahoma.

To continue its advancement of the WTP initiative, the Oklahoma Humanities Council (OHC) will present a public presentation featuring a leading humanities scholar and place a statewide request for proposals that focus on themes and events in American history.
