To support the addition of new programs on the topic of community for the Council's statewide speakers bureau; a four-part film and discussion series on the history of addiction in such eras as the Jazz Age and Prohibition; grants for projects on local history and heritage; a four-part book discussion series on the interaction of humans and their animals; and a special grant initiative for Picturing America in Wyoming.

WE THE PEOPLE AND OUR COMMUNITIES includes a film series, book discussion series, speakers bureau and grant initiative. The programs draw on the idea of community, bringing the WY council full-circle from its initial WTP proposal, which explored ideas of community at local and regional levels. Themes for discussion include understanding challenges and the role of various groups and individuals within communities, our companions, and communities created by addiction.
