To support the 2010 Southern Festival of Books, local programming and activities for teachers in conjunction with the traveling exhibition, "Journey Stories," grants that examine American, state and local history, and further development of Chapter 16, Tennessee's virtual Center for the Book.

Humanities Tennessee?s 2010 ?We the People? project will support: at least ten sessions on American history and culture at the 2010 Southern Festival of Books; companion exhibits and other local programming for the Museum on Main Street hosts of our Journey Stories tour; the Journey Stories program bureau, providing five different public programs and a teachers? in-service to exhibit host communities and their local school districts; grants that examine American, state, and local history; and the further development of Chapter 16, our ?Virtual Center for the Book,? improving design and adding content on Tennessee authors and books by Tennessee authors or pertaining to Tennessee culture, literature, or history.
