To support twelve programs in the Humanities On the Road television series on the Pennsylvania Cable Network. Each program will reach more than 12,000 people. The series features PHC's Commonwealth Speakers engaging with audiences at historic and cultural institutions with significant connections to America's stories. Other supported programs are humanities grants, book discussion groups, and Commonwealth Speakers (speakers bureau).

In 2011, PHC again will use funds to explore America's past in meaningful, engaging ways for the state. Programming will connect Pennsylvania to our collective past and animate our history from diverse perspectives through the statewide broadcast of a television series, as well as grants, speakers, and book discussion groups. The project will serve at least a quarter million, reaching people in all 67 counties of our state.
