To support a wide range of programming on topics in American history and culture, including grants, a speakers bureau, the annual book festival, a history fair, a community history initiative, the Beehive archive of radio programs and a museum initiative.

Project Description UHC proposes a diverse array of We the People activities to serve the entire state of Utah, including: 1) a Request For Proposals for regrant projects exploring significant historical themes and events; 2) history topics for UHC’s Public Square speakers bureau; 3) historians presenting at the fall 2010 Utah Humanities Book Festival; 4) Utah History Fair for 4th-12th grade students during the 2010-2011 school year; 5) a collaborative community history initiative with the Utah Division of State History; 6) “Beehive Archive” weekly statewide public radio broadcast; 7) a collaborative Museum Interpretation Initiative with the Office of Museum Services and Utah Museums Association for interpretive exhibits. All of these activities are designed to explore significant events and themes in American history and culture and/or to advance knowledge of the principles that define America.
