The Mark Twain House Teacher Workshops will provide teachers with the necessary information, context and instructional tools to effectively teach their students about Mark Twain, his literary and cultural legacy, and his era in American history.

The Mark Twain House Teacher Workshops will utilize the unique resources of The Mark Twain House, a National Historic Landmark, to provide teachers with the necessary information, context and instructional tools to allow them to impart meaningful lessons to their students about Mark Twain, his literary and cultural legacy, and his era in American history. Recognized Twain scholars will provide participating teachers with valuable background and analysis about Twain’s writings and historical period, and will help them to develop strategies and lesson plans for effectively conveying Twain’s legacy within both history and literature curricula.
