Consultation with scholars and site visits to develop an interpretive plan for a significant archaeological site and a living history village in western Pennsylvania.

The Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania requests a consultation grant to advance the interpretive program development at Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Museum of Rural Life. The requested funds would provide for a 2-day planning session with consultants who have expertise critical to successful program development. The requested funds would also provide travel for Meadowcroft staff to visit six sites with exemplary programming related to the proposed interpretation development.
