American Academy/NEH Partnership for the Humanities Indicators

FAIN: BN-230198-15

American Academy of Arts and Sciences (Cambridge, MA 02138-1929)
Norman M. Bradburn (Project Director: October 2014 to May 2017)

This proposal requests a second renewal of the 2011 cooperative agreement between the National Endowment for the Humanities (hereafter NEH) and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. This agreement will support 1) the development of new data sets on the state of the humanities, with the support of outside specialists; 2) the development of additional survey research on the state of the humanities in community colleges, the work of digital and traditional humanities centers, and other research topics proposed during a convening on the question “What Are The Humanities Good For?” (to be held November 14, 2014); 3) introduction of new interactive data visualizations on the site; and 4) ongoing updates of the current suite of indicators and continuing promotion through a variety of media.
