The American Academy proposes to work in partnership with the NEH to sustain and extend the Humanities Indicators, a set of statistical data about the humanities in the U.S. NEH funds will help collect, house, process, and analyze national data on the humanities; update existing Indicattors as new trend data becomes available; support meetings of the Indicators Leadership Group and working committees; and support the first tri-annual update of the Humanities Departmental Survey, providing new insights into the state of the humanities and trends analysis.
