Endowment for enhanced services for the preservation of humanities collections.

CCAHA Requests a challenge grant of 300,000 to establish a $1,200,000 endowment to support and enhance CCAHA's ability to provide preservation services for the care of humanities collections, ensuring that these valuable primary documents are available for research and public appreciation. To this end, CCAHA will enhance and expand the education and outreach activities of its preservation services office; provide support for professional development opportunities for staff and interns; and upgrade and adapt technology for research in the areas of conservation treatment and preventive conservation.
