Expansion and Enhancement of Jefferson County Historical Society's Facilities and Programs

Purchase of a building to house an archive and research library, renovation of exhibition space, fund-raising costs, and endowment for an archivist position.

The Jefferson County Historical Society is working to expand and enhance its facilities and humanities programming through the restoration of the 1892 City Hall building which houses the Jefferson County Historical Society and Museum, creation of new interpretive exhibits and programs in the restored space, the acquisition of a building to house the intitution's archival holdings, and the endowment of an archivist staff position to care for the collection and make it accessible to the public.
