Construction of a new addition, installation of air-conditioning and climate control systems, and installation of an elevator, new entry portico, and ramp.

The Pilgrim Society and Pilgrim Hall Museum seek a National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge Grant of $300,000 to support construction of a new 3,600 foot addition that will house a gallery for changing exhibitions; to install air conditioning in the existing 181-year-old struture as well as the newly constructed wing and to install climate control systems in archival storage areas; to make the facility fully accessible to those with disabilities by installing an elevator, constructing a new entry portico and ramp and preparing pathways and parking spaces through modifications to our site.
