Endowment for the position of Curator of Photography and for enhanced humanities programming.

The Peabody Essex Museum will create an endowment for the position of Curator of Photography to significantly enhance and sustain humanities programming through the use of the medium of photography to investigate humanities themes and ideas. The Curator will bring into a cohesive focus the existing collection of more than 820,000 works, shaping and expanding the collection and creating exhibitions (both on-site and via Flickr), public programs and publications to make these humanities resources widely available to a general public, scholars, and students.
