George Demacopoulos (Project Director: May 2012 to November 2017)
Endowment of a faculty-in-residence research fellowship, an annual dissertation-completion fellowship, and humanities programming in Orthodox Christian Studies.
Fordham University is applying to the National Endowment for the Humanities for a Challenge Grant of $500,000 to establish a multi-faceted research endowment in Orthodox Christian Studies. This initiative is one component of Fordham's current capital campaign, EXCELSIOR/EVER UPWARD/THE CAMPAIGN FOR FORDHAM. If successful, this grant will assist in the creation of two endowments that will bolster Fordham's commitment to interdisciplinary research in all humanistic facets of Eastern Christian culture. Specifically, these endowments will enable an annual faculty-in-residence research fellowship and an annual dissertation-completion fellowship.
