Endowment for exhibition planning costs, traveling exhibitions, teacher training activities, and publications.
The Harry Ransom Center, a humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin, seeks a National Endowment for the Humanities challenge grant of $500,000 to be matched 3:1 with $1.5 million in private funds. The Ransom Center will use the challenge grant and matching funds to establish an endowment supporting the Center's exhibitions and related activities. The endowment will provide a secure revenue stream that will be used strategically to enhance the Center's respected exhibition program, extend its reach through partnerships with other institutions to develop interpretive exhibitions, create and launch web exhibitions, publish more exhibition catalogs or companion books, and travel more exhibitions.
