The construction of a heritage center as part of a new regional library, to include space for archives and special collections unique to the area, a meeting room, a reading room, a gallery, and a hands-on technology learning lab, as a “makerspace.”

The purpose of this grant application is to complete a capital fundraising project to build a $5 million reigonal library that will house a Heritage Center for Virginia's Eastern Shore, an isolated rural community of approximately 45,000 with a rich history to share.
