Siena College in Loudonville, New York, seeks a Challenge Grant in United States History and Culture in the amount of $1,000,000 to fund the Center for Revolutionary Era Studies (CRES). The college's Office of Development and External Affairs will match the $1,000,000 grant through a capital campaign that will raise $3,000,000 in non-federal monies. These funds will endow the CRES' mission to sponsor comprehensive, interdisciplinary programming on the history and legacy of the American Revolution in upstate New York. Income drawn from the endowment will cover administrative cost, curriculum development, community outreach initiatives, library enhancements, a fellowship for junior scholars.
