The humanities courses at this Appalachian community college are taken primarily by transfer students. The College feels that occupational students, who make up two-thirds of the total enrollment and come mainly from poorly - educated, low-income homes, should become more involved in humanities education and seeks consultant assistance in planning and developing a humanities program which blends technical and humanistic knowledge.
