Lakeland College is employing a consultant to better organize the structure of its General Studies program and to decide whether or not to re-instate some form of course requirements into the program. Further, consultant aid is being used to relate course structure and content of the program to local community concerns as well as reconciling the staffing problems of team taught courses. The General Studies program at Lakeland is designed to reflect the college's concern for a relational and value oriented approach to higher education.
