Utica College of Syracuse University is reviewing the current decline in enrollment in language majors and the difficulty of designing upper level humanities courses for career students. The Division of Humanities of the college is using the advice of a consultant who has expertise in English and foreign languages, experience with core programs, interdisciplinary programs, and freshman seminars and affiliation with an institution similar to Utica and administrative competence to help in this regard.
