Courses for class-related instruction in library usage and for cooperative programs with the teaching faculty. Library to play important role in developing individual's competence in independent work, especially in conjunction with university leadership programs. Important that students be able to work independently, develop individual competence as researchers. Without adequate training in library use, students handicapped both in classes and in research. Funds for salaries (director, bibliographer, librarian, consultants). Made possible through matching funds from council on Library Resources.
