Rosentene B. Purnell (Project Director: September 1972 to present)

To support the planning, experiemental and development phases of an interdisciplinary humanities program. This program reduces the number of required courses, places a greater responsibility for the student's learning on himself, releases the exploratory impulse for new and creative approaches to learning and teaching. It aims to increase social responsibility as a natural outgrowth of social awareness and to encourage the resultant use of this knowledge to promote the humane ends of justice, truth freedom.
