The Congress to campus Program sends bipartisan teams of former Members of Congress to 20-30 college campuses throughout the academic year. The former Members of Congress engage the students in a dialogue that demonstrates how differing points of view can be discussed civilly and productively. The bipartisan team educates the students on the importance of civic involvement and provides inspiration that will lead to greater democratic participation. The team also teaches basic civics lessons by focusing on how Congress operates and conducts the people's business.
