The development of a web-based structure for bringing together the digital assets of Presidential libraries based on a timeline of 20th-century Presidential administrations, the major events they encountered, and the decision making process brought to bear on these events.

The Presidential Timeline project brings together the UT-Austin College of Education Learning Technology Center & the twelve Presidential Libraries & Projects to create a web-based resource providing access to the growing store of digitized assets in the Libraries' collections. The goal is to make these primary-and secondary-source materials available to students, educators, & adult learners & to provide templates for authentic, engaging learning activities utilizing them. The structure will be based on a timeline of 20th century Presidential administrations & the major events encountered by each. The architecture will support the ongoing addition of assets & sharing of learning activities created by the project team & by users.
