Summer Institute in the Philosophy of Language

To provide stipends and expenses for fifteen college teachers specializing in the Philosophy of Language to attend a summer institute staffed by leading scholars in the field. Applicants selected for six weeks of daily lectures, seminars and informal discussion according to their background in the field, teaching and scholarly ability and lack of recent contact with leading scholars in this comparatively new field.
