The Visiting Philosopher Program

To support an experimental program to increase interest and understanding in philosophy at community and junior colleges through visits by teachers of philosophy to coorperating institutions. Through public talks, classes, seminars and informal consultations with students, faculty, administrators and local residents in three pilot regions (New York City, St. Louis, San Francisco), the visitors will explore the role of philosophy in such institutions.
