Between the Quiet Poles: The Ideas of Order in Elizabethan Literature

Funds for the development of a 16mm montage film on the Renaissance idea of order which served as the fundamental ideal underlying Elizabethan thought. The film will serve as a pilot for a series of seven such films to form the core of a two-semester multi-media survey course in English Literature. The "idea of order" will be dramatized by examples drawn from all facets of Elizabethan life.
