Support for a project aimed at strengthening the communications and understanding between the Indian community of the Ft. Totten Reservation and the academic staff of the LRJC. Five point program includes: 1) series of four in-service workshops to include the academic staff of the college and the American Indian people selected by the Devils Lake Sioux Tribe Education committee, 2) tape library of historical and cultural stories told by older generation of Indians, 3) development of elementary programmed learning tapes of Devils Liake Sioux language, 4) series of cultural seminars for American Indian students attending college, 5) establishment of Devils Lake Sioux Language class at LRJC.
