Funds to support the planning of an undergraduate program in legal studies directed primarily at liberal arts students rather than pre-law students. Emphasis on law in its broadest sense rather than the technical skills associated with professional legal training. Courses for students and faculty members taught by a visiting legal scholar. Summer stipends for faculty to develop law-related courses in their own disciplines. Eventual development of courses ot enable the college to offer a new "major" legal studies.
