To facilitate the independent study portions of the new curriculum at Hampden-Sydney College by hiring a reference librarian to work with the faculty, students, and library staff. The duties of the reference librarian will be 1) to make students and faculty more aware of the library resources; 2) to show how to make best use of these resources; 3) to provide basic training for non-professional members of teh library staff.
