A joint Black-Chicano Studies oral history project to be undertaken by Black and Chicano students from the five Claremont college students through the use of the oral history technique, obtain raw primary data, otherwise lost, about Black and Chicano people, "old timers," and communities in the region, and develop a permanent collection of tapes and interview manuscripts as a resource for research and teaching materials believed to be urgently needed.
