Interdisciplinary Seminar: The Aged in Our Society

To develop and offer an interdisciplinary seminar, "The Aged in Our Society," at the junior-senior level. Among those topics pursued are the physical process of aging; the legal, ethical, and religious implications of euthanasia; the biological problems of the aged; the personal relationships among the aged and between the aged and younger people; and the nature of death. The project results would be disseminated through a journal of higher education, through the programs of the East Central College Consortium of Ohio and Pennsylvania, and means of a printed brochure distributed to 500 liberal arts colleges.
