The participants in the conference will consider matters as to whether the teacher should try to suppress his or her own values and be objective, whether the teacher should try to encourage the student to take moral as well as rational considerations into account when making political choices, and whether the teacher should try to promote justice and other values. The eight papers and the sixteen commentaries discussed at the conference will be prepared for publication as a book.
