A History of the Black Experience in Alabama: A Statewide Oral History Project

Funding to support an oral history project to be carried out in Alabama as part of the program entitled "Collection and Evaluation of Materials on Black Americans" (CEMBA). This program was initiated in 1969 by the 8 predominently black senior colleges in Alabama. The oral history project will focus on training 3 groups in the art of planning and conducting interviews: students, faculty associates, and institutional archivists.
