The Development of a National Humanities Center: Phase II

To support the second phase of the development program to establish a national center of advanced humanistic studies. The center will provide 1) a setting for the study by humanisitc scholars of some of the central issues of our society; 2) a favorable environment for humanists to pursue individual studies in close contact with scholars from other disciplines; 3) a focus for experimentation with post-doctoral training; 4) a base for the development of policy studies in teh humaniteis.
