Development of Urban Folklore Materials in the Curriculum

To collect urban folklore in the Gary-East Chicago area for use in folklore courses at both introductory and advanced levels. Texts, tapes, slides, film and ethnographic data procured in the field will be introduced into the course syllabuses of the existing survey courses, and form the bases of a new seminar.
