The creation of law courses primarily for those undergraduates who do not plan to become professional lawyers but seek an understanding of the role of law in society. The focus is on introducing a broad segment of the undergraduate community to the legal process and the functions of law in society, exploring how value questions are examined and handled by a society in its legal system, and developing an understanding of now values are transmitted through laws over the course of time and how they change.
