Archaeology as an Avocation

To produce competently trained amateur archaeologists; to rescue local prehistory; to heighten community interest in this enterprise. The mature student will be given the opportunity to participate in an elementary dig and study reconstruction techniques and area prehistory. Another advanced technique course will be offered in the summer, along with selected topics in world prehistory.
