To implement the program developed under an NEH planning grant. The Integrated Studies Program is a series of integrated and interdisciplinary team-taught courses presented as an alternative to the present area requirement system. Twenty-four full-and part-time professors from thirteen departments will instruct an anticipated four-hundred and fifty students. NEH funds will provide the professors' released time salaries. The Program consists of four, two-course sequences and a concluding synoptic seminar. All are related thematically to the general program topic: Dynamics of Change Tests studying participating students and a control group which will chart cognitive and affective changes are planned.
