To develop a new course titled "The Indian in American History" which will serve as an interdisciplinary introduction to American ethnic studies. The course will have as a basic unifying concept the study of the ethno-historic frontier: the pattern of confrontation and interaction which occurs when two dissimilar cultures come into contact with each other. An evaluative report will be disseminated.
