To test and revise the syllabus Individualism in America, designed by the P.I. as a new introductory seminar for Vassar's multi-disciplinary American Culture Program. Testing entails a program of faculty re-education. Final product will set an example for similar programs in ways of introducing undergraduates to the problems of reading and relating materials from different intellectual traditions and artistic genres.
