The course will survey the nature and origins of technology in both its conceptual and material forms in Western Culture. It will then focus on the relationship between technology and values in American experience. Students will investigate the inter-relationships of technology in the immediate Portland environment. Interaction between Business, Education, and English departments will help stimulate future interdisciplinary ventures at the college.
