The Growth and Structure of Cities program will combine perspectives from the humanities and the social sciences in a program of study of urban growth and development and the contemporary problems facing today's urban dwellers. In all, there are five departments in the humanities, five in the social sciences and one in the physical sciences which will partiicpate in this new major.
