A Cooperative Undergraduate Program in American Studies

This proposal concerns the three-year support of a new and unique interdisciplinary program for cooperation between Temple University's undergraduate American Studies Program and Philadelphia museums, historical socieities, agencies and academies. The program is designed so that the University, cooperating institutions, and students will recieive material and intellectual benefits through cooperation, thus avoiding superficiality in education and wasteful duplication in use of urban resources.
